Research Topic Reflection...

Online Dating:
To inform / persuade my audience that dating someone online is just as safe and / or dangerous as meeting someone in person and dating them.

I really like my topic, and think that it will be pretty simple for me to dig into.
I think that, because I relate to it personally.

I want to do 10 interviews, of 5 people who are for the idea of online dating, and another 5 people who have had bad experiences with online dating, or who are just opposed to the idea, w/o experiences. Either way- I get input on a personal level of both sides of the fence. I want to get reactions from others to see what they have to say 1-on-1 versus only searching for sources inside of books, and on the web. I think that it will make my paper more fun, and interresting for myself and that way it'll give me a better drive to write the 10 pages assigned.

I really like that this paper is what we as the writer, chose the topic ourselves, which will give us more options and personal interrest(s). I know for sure that I'll have a good time w/this, and I hope my audience will have just as much fun reading it, as I am going to - writing it.

yay!

I think this is an excellent topic choice for you. It is interesting and personally relevant.

The interviews are a good idea too, though you don't necessarily need so many. Remember to look for print sources too, so it's not just personal opinion throughout. What I suspect is you will find some of the print sources will validate what is said in some of the personal interviews.
